About 20 minutesUpload your EPUB or PDF, add metadata, pick a category and tags, and confirm you're the human author of the work — AI-generated books aren't accepted.

Automated validation
MinutesA background job checks the file opens correctly, has a working table of contents, and meets cover resolution requirements before it's sent for review.

Human review
Target: within 5 business daysA moderator checks the book against a public quality bar covering formatting, metadata completeness, and content policy, and leaves written notes for anything that needs fixing.

Publish
Same day as approvalApproved books go live to every subscriber. Reading activity starts counting toward the payout pool immediately.
If it comes back
Changes requested isn't a rejection
It's the normal path for a fixable issue and doesn't affect your standing.
Changes requested
The default outcome for fixable issues — specific notes tied to each failed criterion, then you resubmit.
Rejected
Reserved for content-policy violations that editing can't fix, such as AI-generated text or rights problems.
Approved
Your book is published and starts accruing reading activity toward the payout pool.
