01Your account

You need an account to read, submit or review books on Inkrafted. You must be at least 16, keep your login details private, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.

One account is one person. Sharing a subscription across a household is fine; reselling access is not.

02Subscriptions and billing

• Prices include VAT where applicable and are charged in your local currency where supported.
• We aim to refund in full within 14 days of a first purchase if you've read less than one chapter.
• Price changes are announced at least 30 days before they apply to your renewal.

03Reading rights

A subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to read books in our reader and, within your tier's allowance, as downloaded files on your own devices. It does not transfer ownership, and does not permit redistribution, scraping, or use of the text to train machine learning models.

04Author licence

When you publish on Inkrafted you keep full copyright. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute your book to subscribers for as long as it's listed.

You can withdraw a book at any time. Earnings already accrued are paid out on the normal schedule.

05Content standards

Human authorship is non-negotiable: every book submitted to Inkrafted must be written by its credited human author. Wholesale AI-generated text submitted as a novel is rejected outright, with no exceptions — this is a content-policy line, not a style preference.

• No AI-generated books presented as human-written work, in whole or substantial part.
• No material that sexualises minors, incites violence, or targets protected groups.
• No manipulation of reading metrics, including automated or paid reading.

06Payouts

Author earnings are calculated per payout period from the subscription pool using the published formula (see our Payout model page), less a flat 20% platform fee. Where we detect artificially inflated engagement, the affected reading activity is excluded from the pool before distribution.

07Suspension and closure

We may suspend an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Except in cases of fraud or unlawful content, you'll get written notice and an opportunity to respond, and one appeal.

08Liability and law

Inkrafted is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer.
